Smart Learners
We are learning to:
Understand what the Kawa of Care is;
Know the Chromebook keyboard shortcuts;
Know how to take full and partial screenshots and insert them into a Google Drawing;
Create bookmarks for all our learning links in Google Chrome and bookmark folders;
Use our webcam to take photos and record videos;
Keep our Google Drive up to date. It is important to aways name and file your documents into the right place;
Use Google Drawing more confidently; and
Use Google presentations to create animations for our blogs.
Smart Footprint
We are learning to:
Promote ourselves positively online by writing a blog profile.
We are learning to distinguish between personal information that should be kept private and personal information that can be made public.
Understand the concept of a digital footprint; everytime we look at, click on, upload, download, comment or share, leaves a footprint.
Include all elements of a quality blog post when blogging to engage our audience.
Advertise ourselves positivity online by sharing our blog; create and embed a vlog style video on our blog.
Use images to show some of our favourite things so that readers can learn more about us.

Smart Relationships
We are learning to:
Share comments that are positive, thoughtful and helpful;
Understand the etiquette for using Google meet;
Effectively comment and communicate with Google Docs;
Write emails following proper email etiquette;
What to do when we receive an email or comment that we don’t like; it’s not positive, thoughtful or helpful or makes us feel sad and uncomfortable;
How to identify scams and phishing emails when on the internet. You will learn what to look out for and what to do when you are on the internet.
Reply to comments in our blog that are positive and keep the conversation going; thank you, answer and question.
Smart Media
We are learning to:
Give creditors of images the credit they deserve when we use their images in our work;
Create our own images in Google Drawing;
Create our own images in Sumo Paint;
Use Google Search more efficiently: use keywords and the right words, find articles and websites for kids, use CTRL+F to find information on a webpage;
Summarise and reference the information we find online. We are learning not to copy and paste or plagiarise other people's work.
Assess the reliability, accuracy and validity of information we find online. When looking for information online, take into consideration:
When the information was written;
Who it was written for; and
What purpose the information was written for.
