Student Leaders of 2010 Announced

Student Leaders of 2010 Announced

We have much pleasure in announcing our Student Leaders for 2011. It was very special that so many parents were able to be part of the assembly held on Wednesday. The students have been selected following their formal application, and a week of leadership training in Week 2 at TOPEC or Puniho.

We are confident that such a fine group of young people will make an important contribution to the continued growth of Coastal Taranaki School. Many have already displayed their excellent skills and abilities at the many sporting events held in this busy term.

School Council Chairperson’s Report, 2010

School Council Chairperson’s Report, 2010

Being Chairperson of the School Council for the later half of last year, I already had an abundance of inspiration and plans for the Council in the year ahead.

I wanted to make positive change in the school and give a voice to every student. I wanted to prove that the students in our school can make huge change and achieve what they really want out of school.

Good luck to the School Council of 2011, all the best!

School Council Treasurer’s Report, 2010

School Council Treasurer’s Report, 2010

My ambitions as Treasurer for our School Council for 2010 have included improving transparency in the way the Council operates, encouraging student and community applications for support and funding, and to leave the Council in a sound financial position, with a clear direction for the future.

I believe we have made great progress in terms of purpose and direction, and I hope to see our School Council further develop as a very worthwhile asset to our community in the future.
