Friends of Coastal Taranaki School
Welcome back, we hope everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable summer holiday. It’s been a good start to the school year. The climbing frame ropes have been replaced and we are hoping to replace the bark in the playground this term.
We earned $600 from helping with the Olex Cable fun run in Okato last December. Thank you to all of you who gave up your time to help with this, it’s very much appreciated.
We are looking forward to making lots of money with which to support the children at Coastal this year. If you have any fresh ideas for fundraising or would like to be part of the Friends of Coastal Taranaki School, please feel free to come along to our meetings. They will be held the third Wednesday of every month in the staff room.
We are holding our AGM on Wednesday 14th March at 7pm at Cafe Lahar. Nibbles will be provided, we would love to see you there.

We still have some honey for sale, $10 per pot.
If any one has any complete games or educational activities they no longer need, please feel free to donate them for our school to use. These can be dropped in at the School Office.
We have two used BBQs for sale. If anyone interested in purchasing these, please contact Marlene on 027 259 2446. Also a big thanks to all the sausage sizzle helpers on Ripper Rugby Day.

Thanks to everyone’s support, so far we have been able to offer some support with the following in 2011:
- Science Road Show
- Mathletics
- Indoor games for classrooms
- First aid kits for Saturday sports
- Books for the Library
- Tiling the concrete wall at the Oxford Rd entrance with school emblem
- Replacement of kitchenware in the Foods Room
- Jewelry tumbler for Technology Room
- Bus for the Kids for Kids concert rehearsal

Friends of Coastal Taranaki School
We had the National Bank Farmers fundraiser on 30th May. Thanks to those who made cakes, sandwiches and helped out on the night. A good profit was made.

Our next Meeting to be held Thursday 23rd June at 7pm. Karla Ralph will be presenting the “Energise” program.
We will be collecting the Yummy apple stickers again. A flyer will be coming home this week. Students can either collect stickers from the apples or the large cut out on the front of the bag and also from the barcode on the bags.
