Coastal Taranaki School is a unique, small rural community school, catering for years 1-13. Since 2005, $3 million dollars has been spent on several new classrooms, an exceptional library and information centre, an upgraded technology suite, contemporary IT infrastructure and a new administration complex. These complement our gymnasium, science labs, art room and whare wananga; where Māori language and culture learning takes place.

At Coastal Taranaki School, we recognise the different developmental needs of students as they progress through our junior school, middle school and senior school. Teachers generally specialise within these levels, but sharing of best-practice occurs throughout the school, and many teachers follow their passion right across the school.
