Some great results to report from TSSSA sports events over the past few weeks. Our Golf team finished third-equal, just seven shots behind the winners, in the tournament held at Stratford.

The TSSSA 10 Pin Bowling Champs were held on Sunday, June 26 and our Senior Girls Number 1 team came out the overall winners. The team was Crystal Baker, Rebecca Winter, Jurnee Brown and Miyu Inoue. And to cap off a great achievement, Miyu was the best girls bowler on the day. All other teams played well and had a lot of fun.

And the pair of Michael Winter and Jonathon Adams were second at the TSSSA 8 Ball Pool tournament held last weekend.

Our year 5 and 6 netball and rugby teams played Oakura School in the last round of the NPPA Trophy, last Thursday. Unfortunately the Girls Netball suffered a heavy loss but the boy’s rugby recorded their first win of the season.

The Year 6 Coastal gymnastics was held last week with students from Omata, Oakura and Coastal taking part.

Everyone enjoyed the morning’s activities and thanks must go to our Year 12 PE class for helping out.

With the school holidays fast approaching it is timely to remind students and parents that there is no organized sport during the holidays and rugby and netball will finish at the end of this term. However Year 7 & 8 Netball and soccer will continue next term.
