Whanau Picnic Day

On Wednesday, December 1, whanau was celebrated in a special way. Parents and community members arrived at school at midday for carol singing on the school steps. This was followed by a picnic and fun activities for the students (and some parents). These included the Wind Wanderer cycles, a gyroscope, and a bouncy castle. Year 7-9 students had setup stalls to support their businesses and sold a range of food, plants and craft. A sausage sizzle by Friends of Coastal Taranaki School, face painting and “Hook a Lucky Duck” were available for students and families to enjoy.
The sun was shining and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. What a great celebration for the beginning of the festive season.
